Kristen’s focus is working with a variety of populations, including those struggling with mental health-related conditions, addiction issues, emotional disturbance, at-risk youth, LGBTQ+, minority groups, women, men, and gender nonconforming folks. She uses an integrative approach to treatment, utilizing many orientations, including interpersonal process, mindfulness, parts work/IFS, motivational interviewing, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), somatics, spirituality, trauma-informed, and expressive art therapy.
Kristen earned her Master’s degree in Psychology and a specialization in Counseling from Cal Poly Humboldt. She also has additional training in trauma-based therapies, attachment and somatic-focused EMDR, parts work, and substance use treatment. She is currently working closely with Center for New Growth to provide support for KAP (ketamine-assisted psychotherapy).
